My research examines sustainable design in this field by taking a critical of purely technologically driven approaches. It recognizes the existence of multiple cultural traditions and seeks to examine the correspondence between these worlds in architecture. Papers recently being prepared in this field include: “Building a Shared World as a Definition of Sustainable Architecture” NESS Conference, Trondheim, June 2015. A NSF grant application to the STS funding stream is working toward building a research team which includes the University of Texas-Austin, to critical examine what is meant by the notions of social and cultural sustainability in architecture.
