Article by Bogdanovic Published in JSAH

“Evocations of Byzantium in Zenitist Avant-Garde Architecture,” an article by Jelena Bogdanovic, associate professor of architecture, has been published in the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Vol. 75, No. 3, September 2016. JSAH is a leading journal on the history of architecture, landscape architecture and urbanism. The cover page of this issue also features a drawing of the Villa Zenit from Bogdanovic’s article.

Her research on the references to Byzantium in the architecture and philosophy of Zenitism—an Eastern European avant-garde movement founded by Ljubomir Micic in 1921—was supported by a grant from the ISU Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities.
