Elia Zenghelis October Surprise

From the Public Programs Committee:
Dear Students,
We are extremely honored to let you all know that we will be welcoming Elia Zenghelis back at ISU for a surprise appearance this coming Friday, the 28th of October – 5:30 in Kocimsky.
In between his visits to Harvard and UIC, we’re fortunate enough to have managed to sneak Elia away for a day here in Ames in which he’ll deliver a public lecture, titled “The Image as Storyline.” It’s an exciting and wonderful opportunity to be able to host Elia once again here. As you know, he remains one of the most important and influential thinkers in the world of architecture and his work has literally transformed the discourse and practice over the past four decades. Together with Rem Koolhaas, he founded the firm OMA, completing some of their most important projects and he continues to practice in a firm, GZA, which he founded in Athens. He has been influential not only in his work as an architect, but also in his pedagogy, teaching figures like Koolhaas, Zaha Hadid and Pier Vittorio Aureli. Today he continues to teach, lecture and advise in the most illustrious schools of architecture around the world.
We encourage you to please come early to make sure you will find a seat, as we expect this lecture to be quite well attended.
